Support Engineer
Location: KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Responsibilities:
The job as Support Engineer at Aptilo varies a great deal. You will probably soon be one of the people at Aptilo with the best insight into our customers’ needs. You will also have great opportunities to affect our customers’ attitudes toward Aptilo. Therefore this role is very important and you must enjoy assisting our customers in a professional and friendly way!
Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd- and 3rd-line support to our customers and partners around the world
- Troubleshooting on our own designed and developed products
- Work closely with our global support team in Europe and US.
- Provide remote/local analysis of issues.
- Project managing of e.g. trials, upgrades, work orders and corrections
- Performing work orders and configuration changes that do not require code changes.
- Managed services of our hosted environment (i.e. installations, upgrades and backup/restore)
- Perform interoperability tests with other vendors
- Be alert to recognize sales opportunities and act on them
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Required skill(s): linux operating system, able to utilize all available sources proactively to search for solutions, able to work independently and also in a group, a professional and friendly approach, Excellent communications skills in English, TCP/IP.
- At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Executives specializing in Technical & Helpdesk Support or equivalent.
