Aptilo Networks is led by a seasoned group of executives with background from Ericsson, Sun, large telecom operators and fast growing companies in the IT industry.
Large enterprise and telecom backgrounds combined with true entrepreneurship may not be the most common, but has been instrumental to Aptilo’s success always challenging the status quo with new innovative and pragmatic solutions to challenges facing service providers in their daily operation.

Torbjörn Wård"Torbjörn Wård - Chief Executive Officer
Torbjorn Ward boasts more than 20 years of experience in different senior executive and management positions within the telecom- and mobile communications market. He has been the CEO of Aptilo Networks since its inception and was part of the founding team in 2001. Before Aptilo Networks, Torbjorn was General Manager of Axis’ Mobile Internet Division and in that position was responsible for guiding the company's wireless and mobile communications initiatives. Prior to Axis, he spent eleven years with Ericsson where, while based in the USA, he founded and built Ericsson’s Digital Wireless Office business in cellular technology. While in Canada he was Manager for Ericsson’s Radio Systems Management/TDMA division and before that he held various positions in Mobile Systems in Sweden. Torbjorn holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and holds eight separate patents in the area of wireless/mobile communications.

Ulf StigbergUlf Stigberg - Chief Financial Officer
Ulf boasts more than 20 years of experience in the telecom industry. He has been the CFO of Aptilo Networks since its inception as part of the founding team in 2001. Before Aptilo Networks, Ulf was responsible for Business Control and Operations at Axis’ Mobile Internet Division. Prior to Axis, he held various positions and roles within Ericsson, such as Financial Controller for the Public Networks Operator Unit and as Business Manager and Regional Marketing Manager in Malaysia. Prior to that he served several years in product management and strategic product marketing. Ulf holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Economics from the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. He has also studied corporate finance at Colorado School of Mines, Denver, Colorado.

Paul Mikkelsen
Paul Mikkelsen - COO & VP Sales EMEA and Americas
Paul has more than 20 years of experience in international telecommunication and IT and was part of Aptilo Networks’ founding team in 2001. Prior to Aptilo he was Director of Business Development at Axis, responsible for the European market for the Mobile Internet Division. Paul held different executive positions in marketing and business during 10+ years at Ericsson. While there, based in Kuala Lumpur, he was responsible for fixed public operator business for the region. Paul holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics from the University of Örebro, Sweden.

Johan Terve
Johan Terve - VP Marketing
Johan Terve has more than 25 years of experience working in the IT industry, and spent the last 15 years in various CEO, VP and Director positions. Prior to Aptilo he served as VP Marketing & Sales at Ingate Systems and in that position he succeeded in putting the company on the map as a leading global player in SIP-capable firewalls and SIP trunking solutions for enterprise Voice-over-IP. As Marketing Director for Nordic Datadistribution, a $130M company, he was responsible for all business divisions and corporate marketing and helped this major IT equipment distributor become the fastest growing company in Sweden for four consecutive years. Johan started his career as a software developer and has a broad university-level education in business administration, psychology and economics.

Jan Sjönell
Jan Sjönell - Managing Director, Asia/Middle East
Jan boasts 30 years of experience in the IT industry spent in different executive sales and marketing positions and was part of Aptilo Networks’ founding team in 2001. Before Aptilo Networks, Jan was Director of Business Development at Axis, where he responsible for the Asia Pacific market at the Mobile Internet Division. He also worked in Asia Pacific in different management positions for Ericsson. Prior to these roles he worked to establish Sonera Sweden and held a number of senior management positions in the Internet and sales divisions there. Jan has also spent five years in sales with Sun Microsystems and in the telecom operator segment with the previous Swedish PTT, Telia. Jan holds an MBA from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Jonas LagerquistAnders Emilsson - VP Business Area, Orbyte
Anders has more than 20 years of experience in the telecom industry. He was previously CEO at ServiceFactory (which was acquired by Aptilo Networks in January 2011 and incorporated as a business area). Before joining ServiceFactory, Anders held executive positions at TeliaSonera and Teo - the largest telecommunications operator in Lithuania - where responsibilities included driving Telia’s operator acquisitions, investment controlling processes and operational efficiency. Anders holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg.

Jonas Lagerquist
Anna Karin Ljungström - VP Services
Anna Karin has more than 18 years of experience working in the IT industry. Prior to Aptilo she served as VP Operations at General Wireless. As a technical sales representative for SmartTrust she got the privilege to establish a local office in Sydney. Based in Hong Kong, she served as Project Manager for the Asia Pacific region for Across Wireless. Anna Karin started her career as a software developer and has a broad university-level education, with a Master in Computer science from the University of Uppsala, a Certificate in Business Administration from University of Technology in Sidney and Marketing courses from the University of Södertörn.

Per KnutssonPer Knutsson - VP Product Development
Per is responsible for product development at Aptilo Networks since its inception as part of the founding team in 2001. Before Aptilo Networks, he was responsible for product development for Axis’ Mobile Internet Division. Per brings more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunication and IT industries, the majority of which were spent with Ericsson in various roles and positions mostly in product development, project management and line management. From 1998-2000 he worked in project management for Ericsson’s Americas region while based out of Research Triangle Park in North Carolina, US. Per holds a B.Sc. degree from the University of Linköping, Sweden. |
