Aptilo Networks is led by a seasoned group of executives with background from Ericsson, Sun, large telecom operators and fast growing companies in the IT industry. Large enterprise backgrounds combined with true entrepreneurship may not be the most common, but has been instrumental to Aptilo’s success with a yearly growth rate around 40%.

Torbjörn Wård"Torbjörn Wård - Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder
Previously General Manager of Axis' Mobile Internet Division and in that position he was responsible for guiding the company's primary initiative in wireless and mobile communications focusing on unlicensed wireless hot spots. He joined Axis after eleven years with Ericsson, bringing significant broad experience in the wireless industry. Based in US, he was Director of the Digital Wireless Office Services and prior to that he served various leading roles at Ericsson in Mobile Systems, based both in Montreal and Stockholm. Mr. Wård holds a Masters in electrical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and holds eight separate patents in the area of wireless/mobile communications.

Ulf StigbergUlf Stigberg - Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder
Previously responsible for Business Control and Operations at Axis Mobile Internet Division and brings over 17 years of experience in the telecom industry. He has held various positions and roles within Ericsson, such as Financial Controller for Public Networks Operator Unit and as Business Manager and Regional Marketing Manager in Malaysia. Prior to that he served several years in product management and strategic product marketing. Mr. Stigberg holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Economics from the Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. He has also studied corporate finance at Colorado School of Mines, Denver, Colorado.

Jan Sjönell
Jan Sjönell - Managing Director Asia/Middle East and Co-founder
Previously Director of Business Development at Axis, responsible for Asia Pacific market at the Mobile Internet Division. Jan has 26 years experience in the IT industry, in different executive Sales and Marketing positions and prior to Aptilo he was working in Asia Pacific in different management positions for Axis Communications and Ericsson. Prior to these roles he worked with establishing Sonera Sweden and held a number of senior management positions in the Internet and sales divisions. Jan has also spent five years in sales with Sun Microsystems and in the telecom operator segment with the previous Swedish PTT Telia. Mr. Sjonell holds a MBA from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Paul MikkelsenPaul Mikkelsen - Vice President Sales and Co-founder
Previously Director of Business Development at Axis, responsible for the European market at the Mobile Internet Division. Paul has over 18 years of experience from the international telecommunication and IT industry, where has held executive positions in marketing and business control, during his 10+ years at Ericsson. Based in Kuala Lumpur, he was market region responsible for fixed public operator business for Ericsson. Mr. Mikkelsen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics from the University of Örebro, Sweden. |

Johan TerveJohan Terve - Vice President Marketing
Previously VP Marketing & Sales of Ingate Systems and in that position he succeeded in putting the company on the map as the leading global player in SIP-capable Firewalls and enterprise session border controllers (SBCs). From his 23 years experience in the IT industry, Terve have spent more than ten years in various CEO, VP and Director positions in the IT distribution business. At Nordic Datadistribution he was responsible for all business divisions and corporate marketing and helped this major IT equipment distributor to become the fastest growing company in Sweden for four consecutive years. Mr. Terve started his career as software developer and has a broad university-level education in business administration, psychology and economics.

Jonas LagerquistJonas Lagerquist - Director Business Development and Co-founder
Mr. Lagerquist was previously Business Development Manager for the European market at Axis Mobile Internet Division, and brings over 17 years experience in the telecommunication and IT industry. The majority of these years were with Ericsson in various roles and positions ranging from Business Development to Solution Sales bringing out new products to the market. His experience includes line management, project management and development and he has several years of experience working with and within the Asia-Pacific region as a regional solution and marketing manager. Mr. Lagerquist holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Linköping, Sweden.

Per KnutssonPer Knutsson - Director Product Development and Co-founder
Previously product development responsible at the Axis Mobile Internet Division and brings over 22 years experience in the telecommunication- and IT industry. The majority of these years have been with Ericsson in various roles and positions mostly in product development, project management and line management. During 1998 and 2000 he worked with the Americas region with project management based in RTP, NC in US. Mr. Knutsson holds a B.Sc. degree from the Univ. of Linköping, Sweden. |
