The Aptilo WiMAX CSN System is a pre-integrated system based on the Aptilo WiMAX AAA+ CoreAptilo WiMAX AAA+ Core and the Aptilo Policy EngineAptilo Policy Engine together with the optional sub-systems to deliver a highly flexible and versatile AAA (authentication, authorization, accounting), policy management and service control solution.
Aptilo’s built-in prepaid systemAptilo’s built-in prepaid system allows for advanced prepaid and voucher-based business models enabling pay-per-use services or subscription-based services with flexible account refill (top-up) and customer self-care functionality through Aptilo’s WEB-SelfcareAptilo’s WEB-Selfcare and HotliningHotlining modules. Aptilo’s hotlining portal automatically detects new devices and can redirect these to a provisioning portal with the user account attached. Different provisioning methods including OTA OMA-DM are supported via the Aptilo Provisioning moduleAptilo Provisioning module. These advanced prepaid and hotlining modules are also available separately for integration with any 3rd party AAA server.
Aptilo’s Policy EngineAptilo’s Policy Engine enforces QoS and service flow profile parameters for users, devices and services. The Change of Authorization (CoA) support coupled with Aptilo’s provisioning API enables next-generation WiMAX services where an external application - such as video-on-demand - can trigger a change of authorization to temporarily e.g. increase the bandwidth for a user. This enables dynamic service changes initiated from external systems, such as moving to and from hotlining profiles and changing QoS service parameters on the fly. Optimization through dynamic bandwidth throttling enables services where the bandwidth needs to be automatically throttled down as the data allowance is consumed.
The Aptilo WiMAX CSN System features a built-in user policy database for subscriber management.
Post-paid billing needs are supported through integration with 3rd party billing systems or through Aptilo’s built-in recurring credit card charging.
The Aptilo WiMAX CSN System is an open WiMAX Forum® NWG standards-based system, which means that the operator is free to integrate with a dedicated subsystem when desired (for instance, integration with an existing prepaid system or user database via one of Aptilo’s well-defined APIs and native interfaces).

Reporting and Statistics Management: The Aptilo Service Portal™Aptilo Service Portal™ provides important functionality to store, process and present data on service usage such as subscriber sessions, payment history, concurrent sessions and bandwidth usage.
The Reporting and Statistics module is a comprehensive tool for revenue sharing settlement as well as providing an instant overview of service performance and business progress. The module can be tailored to provide specific and relevant information in different views to business management, call center helpdesks or network operations respectively.
