The WEB-Selfcare module enables the subscriber (end-user) to online:
- View and edit certain parts of the account information
- View the history of transactions, payments and sessions
- Change password
- Refill (top-up) the existing account

Refill of the account can be made in a number of ways including the use of Vouchers, through the user’s Mobile Phone account, Premium SMS or through an on-line Credit Card payment.
The WEB-Selfcare module supports Aptilo’s hierarchical account structure where a whole family can share the same main account and the user of the main account can add and delete sub-accounts.

The prepaid funds can be consumed from an account higher up in the hierarchy. In the example above all family members will have the same prepaid bucket in the main account.
The WEB-Selfcare feature greatly enhances the end-user experience and control of the service as well as relieves some of the work efforts normally performed by the service provider’s customer care staff.
Furthermore, the hierarchical account structure supports in an elegant way the fact that subscribers may have multiple devices for which they want to share the same quota. There can be different ratings applied for different sub-accounts.
Combined with the Aptilo WiMAX Provisioning module, effective provisioning is facilitated when devices use MAC/TLS login (sub-accounts) to get access to the WiMAX network while the user logs in from any Internet connection with User ID/Password (user account e.g. “DAD” above) for WEB-Selfcare. |
