Cloud Service Partner Manager

The Aptilo Guest Wi-Fi Cloud™ (GWC) is a managed cloud service provided by Aptilo Networks. It offers a comprehensive set of guest Wi-Fi features and use cases, supporting all the leading enterprise Wi-Fi vendors. The Aptilo GWC service is ideal for venues and businesses wishing to provide a controlled, engaging and secure guest Wi-Fi experience. We primarily sell the service through value added resellers (VARs) and to businesses who want to start their own guest Wi-Fi cloud service based on the Aptilo GWC.

Aptilo is now looking for a Cloud Service Partner Manager for the Aptilo GWC service to join our team, which is part of the company’s expansion strategy.

Job Description:

We have high ambitions to grow the Aptilo GWC through partners and you will be the driving force to make it happen.

This is a business development role where you will drive partner recruitment, enablement and business growth based on their strengths and priorities.

You will be the one communicating our strategies, sell our vision and bring partners along on the Aptilo GWC journey. The Partner Manager’s role is key to Aptilo’s strategy to grow the Aptilo GWC service business.

The outcome will be recurring and long-term revenues and cloud adoption through a set of well-packaged features which you have a key role to define.

Key Performance Objectives

1. Lead partner recruitment

  • Identify existing and new partners to create a balanced portfolio aligned to business requirements.
  • Drive partner’s business qualification to ensure investments are made in partners that are committed and capable.
  • Secure business plan endorsed by partner’s leadership to accelerate end-customer acquisition through the partner.

2. Ensure partner enablement

  • Be the trusted advisor to the Partner at multiple levels within the organization as they develop and launch their cloud solution based on the Aptilo GWC.
  • Help develop the Aptilo GWC offering based on partner’s requirements with inputs from Aptilo’s Nordic and North American sales teams.
  • Identify and support partners with their first end-customer deal.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application development projects.

3. Drive business growth

  • Accountable for the growth of the business across the partner portfolio, aligned with the Sales Management.
  • Drive business performance measured by revenue and customer acquisition.
  • Demonstrate account management excellence through high quality interactions with the partner, and through well-orchestrated interactions between partner executives and Aptilo executives.
  • Develop strategies to ensure the partners pre- and post-sale competency for Aptilo GWC and provide tools needed to support the partner’s business plan and growth objectives.

Experience and Education

  • 10+ years of experience in partner channel development, sales, business development, alliance management in the technology industry.
  • Working knowledge of how cloud business models & Wi-Fi services are brought to market.
  • Experience with technology platforms and solutions with a reasonable level of technical proficiency.
  • Extensive experience of managing virtual teams across functions and geographies.
  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment.
  • Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills.
  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.
  • Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English to perform partner activities, develop compelling business propositions and deliver them in both written and oral formats.
  • Travel between 40-60%.

Cloud Service Technical Partner Manager (Nordics)

Job Description:

The Technical Partner Manager is a key member of the Aptilo GWC team and the primary technical contact and resource for assigned partners. Together you will drive growth through joint sales strategies, evangelization, tools and training. You will also be involved in the hands-on facilitation of partner opportunities. In addition, you will act as the technical liaison between the partner and Aptilo’s sales, support and engineering teams.

Key Performance Objectives

1. Evangelization

Responsible for driving excitement and interest in Aptilo’s solutions and technology. You work independently and with Aptilo’s subject matter experts to understand and deliver Aptilo’s technical vison and strategy to the partner community.

2. Partner technical competency

Responsible for all technical enablement of assigned partners. This includes understanding current service capabilities and ensure the partners pre- and post-sale technical competency for the Aptilo GWC service. Drive and define tools needed to support the partner’s business plan and growth objectives. Develop and conduct technical partner training.

3. Technical sales support

In close coordination with the Partner Manager and other resources within Aptilo (regional sales and sales engineering, product management, customer support, etc.), monitor key technical sales support activities to ensure that partners’ needs are being addressed in a proper and timely manner. Ensure that the appropriate processes and resources are utilized. As appropriate, personally drive certain activities.

4. Relationship-Building

Foster good working relationships with the key stakeholders in the Aptilo and partner organizations.

5. Technical Account Plan

In collaboration with the Cloud Service Partner Manager, and other members of the channel team, construct a technical sales, support and enablement strategy (Technical Account Plan) that will address both the partner’s needs and Aptilo’s account strategy.

Additional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify and influence the improvement of key channel business processes across Aptilo in the Nordic region.
  • Assist with the ongoing improvement and evolution of partner programs.
  • Participate in local, regional, and global channel seminars.
  • Stay abreast of partner-news, industry technology, trends, and competition.
  • Periodically assist in technical post-sales escalations for assigned partners.
  • Provide product presentations and education to large and small audiences.
  • Demonstrate leadership and provide mentoring for other technical team members.
  • Support Partner responses for end-customer RFI/RFP.

Education and Experience

  • 5 years of enterprise technology experience, preferably with technology vendors in systems engineering, consultative or other customer facing roles.
  • Ability to develop compelling business propositions and deliver them in both written and oral formats.
  • Technical skills in one or more of the following is preferred: Cloud, Wi-Fi Service Management, general networking, web development, OAUTH.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical features and function into compelling business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to personally create team plans, estimate/manage workloads and timelines, track details and drive work to completion in a timely manner.
  • Successful experience in building long term personal relationships with senior level enterprise partners.
  • Fluent in both Swedish and English to perform partner activities. Develop service propositions and deliver them in both written and oral formats.
  • Travel between 30-50%.

Senior Developer and Tech-lead Web portals

Aptilo is now looking for a Senior Developer and Tech-lead for our web portals to join our team, which is part of the company’s expansion strategy. This position requires a strong person that takes the lead for our web portal products and make sure that we take the right architecture decisions. The technology in this area is quickly moving and passion for being on top of new trends and movements is of great importance.

Responsibility

  • Lead and discuss major design decisions around our portal-products.
  • Be part of the Architect group for our different products.
  • Take decisions that drive towards reusability.
  • Be part of the team developing our features in our portals.
  • Be part of documenting and communicating our releases.
  • Travels to other locations (for example to meet customers) is expected for this position.

Competence areas

  • Senior developer with several years of experience in both backend and frontend web-development.
  • Programming experience in PHP and relevant tools / frameworks.
  • Has a great passion for creating products that are easy to use, and creates great value for the end-user experience.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish.
  • Have a great interest to find new techniques and to try new areas.
  • Have structure and don’t mind having several things in parallell.
