Aptilo Networks Expands in the US, Increases Presence and Appoints New VP of Sales for the Americas
STOCKHOLM — After a successful expansion in the European and Asian markets, Aptilo Networks is boosting up its presence in the US. The CEO, Torbjörn Wård is moving to the office in Dallas and Eric Dentler has been recruited as Vice President of Sales for Americas.
“The US market for Public wireless Internet access is booming as we are leaving the early adopter phase and becoming a mature industry. I have been with other companies in the Wi-Fi/WiMAX field but want to work with the winners. With Aptilo Networks’ outstanding track record and first class technology I foresee a great future for us in North America. Especially considering our close partnerships with companies such as HP, Cisco and Nortel, and there are already several successful deployments,” said Mr. Dentler, Aptilo Network’s newly-appointed VP of Sales for North America.
Eric has a background from various leading positions in Wi-Fi companies such as Pronto Networks and global IT companies such as Sun Microsystems. He has a total of more than 20 years of experience from sales in the IT/technology field.
“We are more than pleased that we managed to recruit such a highly skilled person as Eric Dentler as our new VP of Sales. Aptilo Networks is now in a unique position and is well equipped to continue to build a sustainable presence in North America due to our merger with Birdstep Technology earlier this year,” said Torbjörn Wård CEO of Aptilo.
In addition to the recruitment of a Vice President of Sales for North America the company’s CEO, Torbjörn Wård, is moving to Aptilo Network’s office in Dallas, USA.
