STOCKHOLM – Systems integrator NS Solutions and Aptilo Networks have partnered to enable carrier Wi-Fi for operators in Japan. Customers include a Japanese tier-1 operator, which is using the Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP) to provide advanced carrier-class Wi-Fi services to their partners and customers.
Aptilo SMP is a state-of-the-art system to deliver and manage carrier-class Wi-Fi services. The wholesale support in Aptilo SMP makes it easy for wholesale operators to support its operator customers (virtual operators) in launching their own Wi-Fi services based on the wholesale operator’s infrastructure. Aptilo SMP securely authenticates subscribers and handles policies to enable carrier-class Wi-Fi services based on the user’s plan with the virtual operator.
In the future, Aptilo and NS Solutions will expand the scope of this customer to enable carrier Wi-Fi services for a large-scale network of Wi-Fi hotspots located throughout Japan.
